I had one of those Love My Job nights. It was a joy to spend the night celebrating with awesome people.
Another Wonderful evening cruising and dining down the Intracoastal. This time Christmas lights guided us south to the Port of Palm Beach. Tonight's guest sampled mussels, oysters, tuna, scallops, hog fish, and finished with a little ice cream, berries, and whip crème. An amazing full moon capped of the evening. Other than a stiff breeze and a little spilt wine everything went fine. I couldn't have asked for nicer passengers.
This Friday evening was amazing, wining and dining our way down the Intracoastal waterway celebrating Woody's birthday. The passengers enjoyed delicious appetizers, grilled shrimp spinach salad, and lobster ravioli. Cynthia brought an amazing cake and the whip crème, berries, and cappuccino toped off the evening.
Threw together a last minute dive/breakfast trip Saturday and amazingly everyone who commited showed up at 9am! Myself included!!, (I had to make breakfast and drive so there was no way I was getting out of it) The seven of us rallied and were rewarded with great weather (other than a ten minute shower) and good visibility. Recent heavy rainfall had diminished the water clarity slightly but we still had 30+ feet of vis. Lots of tropical fish: parrot, spade, snapper, porgies, conchs, and HUGE Starfish. Cj, Dan, Joe, and Rip took a dip. Then I snuck in some down time while everyone ate. Had a great time, in a great place, with great people. I can't wait to do it again, maybe with you!
Spent the after noon chasing down vinyl flooring for yacht. State requires something non-porous, so carpet that lays now has to go.. I agree, and picked up something from We'll Floor You in Jupiter and worked on changing the name to the Food Yacht. I look at my operation as a food truck, on a boat over 39'. Technically a Food Yacht. Rubbing off the old sticker took some time but Todd, at Demented Graphics printed up some easy to install, good looking Decals that went on smoothly. Also, the new FOOD YACHT banner on the side looks great! I'm back home and ordering product for the Food Yacht, and cloning some Muntingia for my co-workers to enjoy the berries
Had a great evening cruising the Intracoastal celebrating Carrie's birthday. The whole gang was aboard. We stopped at Peanut Island just before sunset. Took a swim, had tacos for dinner, and enjoyed a nice relaxing trip back to dock under a full moon. Weather was cool and so were the passengers. It was a great way to spend Sunday evening.
Spent some hard work in the garden this weekend. Cleared weeds, mulched and composted my heart out. The results are beautiful. I picked sweet potatoes and scallions for our potato salad, and butternut squash for soup. The bananas and pineapples are fruiting, and the chickens are laying. What more can an urban farmer ask for?
